What happens after finishing Fraisoro?
As part of the “Educating in Values” program and with the aim of helping students in the orientation process, today four former students came to Fraisoro to give their testimonies to the students: Maitane Garmendia, Harri Maritorena, Itziar Erasun and Joseba Goya. Maitane studied agricultural engineering at university but, seeing that they required or at least gave her a score for a higher forestry course to work as a forester, she decided to do that course. She took the exams, was shortlisted and started working as a forester.
Harri did an internship in a dairy farm during his secondary agricultural cycle and started working there after finishing. In the future, he wants to set up his own farm to sell directly. Itziar, after completing his higher education cycle and through the Fraisoro job market, received a job offer and got the job. At Smurfit Kappa, he organizes the entire wood processing process in Gipuzkoa, from the mountains to the Central.
Joseba, after trying two engineering courses, studied horticulture in Fraisoro. He got a job in a horticulture company through the Fraisoro job board and is still there. Everyone agreed that what he learned in Fraisoro was very helpful in finding a job and that even though there are many problems in the sector, if you have a good attitude and prepare yourself well, you can eventually get a job that you like.
Thank you very much everyone!
