WHO WE ARE

Fraisoro School is a public integrated vocational training school and its areas of study are: agriculture and livestock, forestry, natural environment management, gardening, floriculture and food processing.

Our offer is comprehensive. On the one hand, we offer Vocational Training Cycles - initial, intermediate and higher - with the Department of Education, University and Research, and on the other hand, Job Training, in collaboration with the corresponding institution.

HISTORY

Fraisoro NE has been serving agriculture and livestock in Gipuzkoa and the Basque Country for over 125 years. The “Casa Modelo Fraisoro” was inaugurated on September 7, 1898, at the initiative of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, based on science and technology.

Initially, the main objective of the “Casa Modelo” was to strengthen agriculture and livestock in Gipuzkoa, at all levels and in all aspects. 1904. Since 1991, in addition to this main objective, it has taken on the responsibility of educating and training farmers, and has become known as the “Fraisoro Agricultural Training School”.

It has maintained these objectives to this day, and has even developed them. During its long history, the school has undergone many changes and ups and downs, but apart from a few short periods when it was inevitably unable to operate, it has worked and continues to work continuously for the agriculture and livestock of Gipuzkoa. From 1997 to September 2012, it was part of the Mendikoi Public Company and then Itsasmendikoi, and since September 2012, Fraisoro School has been part of the Department of Education of the Basque Government.

MISSION

FRAISORO SCHOOL is a Vocational Training school whose work culture is characterized by personal development, teamwork, participation, cooperation, innovation, continuous improvement, co-commitment to the sector and society, and respect for the environment. As an educational agent and community of educators, it has the following principles:
